In response to MingHui's issue #1

Here are some suggestions:

If the school is keen to strike a deal OTS (on the spot)...

1) express keen-ness that you are REALLY SINCERE to work with them, but final decision isnt really just about the team but we also need to consult our lecturer (as if) haha. (it's always better to bring in a 3rd party, or they might think you are just trying your luck on them)

2)I agree with Kate that we should follow up with an email right after the presentation, to express appreciation for their time and interest; mentioning that their school will be top on our list for consideration.

3) Upon selection of preferred school by the team, we'll send out emails AND phonecalls to express regret for not being able to work with them due to time contraints etc (as mentioned by Kate)

My sense is, we should try very very hard not to promise an actual date/time we can provide them with a reply since we are still in the midst of getting appointments or negotiations, taking into consideration that not all schools would provide us with an OTS (on-the-spot) reply.

"within a week" should give us enough time to work on the dee-dee-daa-daa-dee, before getting back to the respective schools.

Although we are casting a wide net due to time constraints and all, that's our own issue. The school's HOD and principals will try to understand but, ultimately they will never really put themselves in our position. make them feel important, and that they are our first choice due to blah blah blah reasons. And that we really want their participation in this project. If not, every school principal might think...

"why should i accept and help this team when they are undergrads without experience, and i'll have to go through the hassle of making arrangements and stuff etc. After all, the school's having its own programme and the HODs are doing well. Furthermore, it's not a long-term programme. It's only for a month or two at most. If i turn them down, they'll still have many other schools..."

Flip side of the coin,

If they try to play for time, by saying that they would like to discuss this with their staff or some HODs... and to wait till school reopens..

1) we'll send them an email after presentation(as usual) but pushing for a reply but content-wise would be different, we should reinforce why they should accept the deal. (That's in case we end up with no schools *choy!*)

2) after every 2 days, follow up and see how. bug them till they give us a reply.

Let's hope we'll end up with some school which's convenient enough for all of us.

Have a great weekend, folks! :)
