Things look up and coming for the Montfort side. Yi Eng will update more. Just some thoughts that came in while we were discussing with the teacher in charge that would be useful for sustainability.1. Multiple Mini fares to be carried after each batch.
- Something like at the end of each batch where we have the teachers carry the program out with the children. They can have a mini-fare conducted by the class in the canteen. Proceeds from this can thus be reflected back into the program.
This achieves two folds, firstly, a message that is reflected more consistently through the year as well a self created funding for the program itself.
2. GREATER SUSTAINABILITY
- Having first a pioneer batch lead the students and perhaps in the final session have parents down or something. We could discuss more. Importantly is that i feel the parents should be taken note of in the program as well. Not only the parents but school too. For example nutrition, eating salads and stuff like the other project group mentioned. Well, do the kids go home and carry on with that? Do they have the equipment for it or for that matter, do the school canteens offer salads?
- Well we could at the end of session give each student a gift pack that would some how allow them to carry on their highlighted problem at home and share with the family.
- The school can develop as well. Like say more greens, we need to involve the school canteens to introduce these into their food selection as well.
3. Possible way of paying it forward.
- Say after the first pioneer batch, we have the teacher's involvement and they will thereby conduct the same courses with each batch of students and so on and so forth. We could polish this up further.
Leave your thoughts all,
Shaun
